When I pick up a book, it’s almost 95% of the time non-fiction and rarely fiction. They open me up to different views and varying interpretations of subjects in life. What I’ve learned from them, I incorporate into my clinical practice.
Here is a list of books I have enjoyed and have found beneficial whether it be for mental wellness to stress management. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
My sister went to a talk by Dr. Rangan Chatterjee, while she was working in England. She brought his book home, and I’ve been hooked. Many things he talks about are the foundations of Naturopathic Medicine. His podcast is a great addition to the book.
Quick synopsis: Dr. Rangan Chatterjee is a Medical Doctor in the UK. He explains health in simple steps: Eat, Sleep, Relax and Move while not over complicating things.
After listening to Sarah Wilson on the Ultimate Health Podcast, I went out to Costco and looked at the book section and her book happened to be there. It felt like the stars aligned and I was meant to read it.
Quick synopsis: Having had anxiety a part of her life for many years, Sarah Wilson explores a different way to normalize anxiety.
(ps. I have no affiliations with any of these people or books, I’m just sharing resources I have enjoyed or think can be beneficial.)
